The Position

Arch Reinsurance Facultative- Underwriting Intern: Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit and analytical mindset? Do you like building strong relationships and providing the best customer experience? An Underwriting Internship with Arch Reinsurance Facultative will give you tangible real-world experience in all areas of property facultative underwriting and get you some skin in the game. Internship Responsibilities

• Interns will be provided with education sessions, exposure to all aspects of property facultative underwriting, networking, and team building opportunities

• Extensive hands-on training with Underwriters and the Assistant Underwriting team- learning through repetition

• Learn the ins and outs of our underwriting systems, processes, and account set up

• Assist team by performing tasks designed to gain an understanding of facultative underwriting while providing research and information to the team

• Demonstrated ability to achieve results by setting goals, prioritizing tasks and staying accountable to stakeholders

• Partner with other interns on any group/ team activities- end of program capstone project

• Travel to other office locations for training, marketing, and events as appropriate

• Team player with ability to collaborate effectively

• A self-starter with the ability to work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Sound computer/technology skills

Education

• Sophomores and Juniors enrolled in an accredited college or university

• Suggested majors: Liberal Arts, Risk Management, Economics, Business, Communications

Compensation

• We offer competitive compensation ranging from $22.00/hr to $26.00/hr.

• Non-local students requiring housing in Farmington, CT are eligible for $22.00/hr. Local students who do not require housing are eligible for $26.00/hr.
