Job Summary

Arch Re Facultative –Assistant Underwriters support production staff (Branch Managers and Underwriting Directors—“the underwriters”) department-wide in the underwriting and administration of Property Facultative transactions, provides exceptional service to our Direct/Broker clients and to our Property Facultative Underwriting team.

Responsibilities

Support to Underwriters will include:

• Preliminary account analysis

• Risk interpretation and input into department systems

• Information-gathering and organization to facilitate the underwriters’ analysis

• Providing underwriters a concise overview of the account and assumptions made in the preliminary analysis

• Providing timely and accurate Quote, Binder and Certificate contract drafts

• Review client policies to verify accuracy of reinsurance certificates

Education and Experience

• Strong communication skills with attention to detail

• Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously

• Works independently and as part of a team

• Advanced skills in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook

• Bachelor's degree in related field
