As a future Head of Wholesale Asia ex Japan, you will report to Head of Core Client Group APAC, and you will be part of AXA IM Core.

Management of Core Wholesale Business in Asia ex Japan with specific focus on GFIs, Taiwan, Thailand, Korea & China Offshore (QDII).

Your role and responsibilities will include

  • Co-ordinate and implement Sales Plan, Relationship and marketing activities for wholesale clients in HK+Singapore (GFIs), Taiwan, Thailand, Korea and China Offshore (QDII) for Core Platform.
  • Coordinate AXA IM’s expertise offer to serve the client at the best of its interests and advises the optimal product mix. Links with all investment teams within AXA IM worldwide
  • Further develop and reinforce existing client relationships
  • Ensure achievement of agreed NNM & NNR targets
  • Increase visibility of AXA IM for the assigned clients in Asia according to agreed communication plan.
  • Actively support close co-operation with the internal Client Group organization (esp. transversal teams)
  • Work with different platforms on cross-referral efforts.
  • Walk the talk and be proactive in client and deal sourcing.
  • Perform other tasks and projects as assigned from time to time.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate is a tenacious and highly energetic individual who is driven by results. S/he should have a strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to demonstrate a strong track record in sales and marketing. Bringing a robust understanding of the market in which s/he operates, the ideal candidate will combine individual drive with flexibility and team-orientated qualities.

Qualifications

  • Degree and/or an MBA or MS degree
  • CFA is desirable

Experience/Skills

  • 15 years of experience in advisory type of Sales in the financial industry, esp. in the Fund market & Regional wholesale market
  • Proven track record on Sales achievements & Strong Client Relationship in the region
  • SFC RO Experience will be preferred.
  • Strong ability to identify business opportunities, initiate contact and close new business.
  • Extensive knowledge in Fixed Income & Equities investing and a thorough understanding of world investment markets and associated products across the increasingly broad spectrum of investment strategy available to institutional clients.
  • Fluent in English & Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin). Other Asian Languages would be an advantage.
