The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. The headquarters gathers approximately 1000 employees and is distinguished by its strong international culture (45 nationalities), which makes it a rich and stimulating place to work.

Within this Department, you will be part of the Group Culture team, who provide thought leadership and strategic direction for the Group on topics relating to culture transformation, employee experience, hybrid ways of working (referred to as Smart Working at AXA) and leading the global culture measurement process through our employee listening survey, Pulse.

Your job and daily missions:

JOB PURPOSE

The Global Senior Culture Lead is responsible for leading on initiatives which will support the transformation of the company culture and enhance the overall employee experience at a global scale. This will include supporting the implementation and evolution of our global approach to hybrid working (which at AXA is referred to as ‘Smart Working’). The role will also lead on other culture and employee experience topics which are geared towards empowering employees and managers to thrive and deliver on our People Strategy.

DIMENSION

The role is based within the global headquarters of AXA. There is complexity in having multiple stakeholders based across many different regions and business lines. This position requires collaboration with various departments and stakeholders across different countries and regions, as well as keeping abreast of industry best practices and trends in culture transformation and employee experience.

CONTEXT AND MAJOR CHALLENGES

The role operates in a complex, multicultural environment, where the challenge lies in aligning the employee experience with the organization's values and goals across diverse geographies and cultural contexts. A key challenge is balancing the diverse needs and expectations of leaders across different countries and entities, while ensuring global consistency overall.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead the planning and execution of projects relating to AXA’s culture, in line with the ambitions set within AXA’s new 2026 People strategy: We Care & Dare for Progress.
  • Create and articulate the storytelling and narrative for this next phase of our Smart Working program. This includes crafting compelling messages that communicate our vision, goals, and the value of smart working to all stakeholders globally. Use these narratives to foster understanding and enthusiasm for our organisations approach.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders (HR, leaders) in the various AXA entities globally to support them in the change management and cultural transformation. Provide both strategic and practical guidance, problem-solving, and ideas on how to engage and inspire key stakeholders on our global priorities for culture and employee experience.
  • Listen to and seek feedback from entities on their needs and challenges, and foster communities where best practices can be shared across entities.
  • Monitor and report on progress of the culture change initiatives as and when required to key stakeholders. Utilise metrics and analytics to assess the impact of initiatives and projects, and make data-informed decisions.
  • Promote inclusion and diversity within our culture ambitions and initiatives, ensuring equal opportunities and representation for all in our initiatives and projects.

Votre Profil

MAIN COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCES

  • Experience of working on culture or organizational change
  • Experience in transformation and/or change management initiatives in a global, matrixed organisation.
  • Demonstrates a keen awareness of external best practices, trends, and research, and uses this knowledge to identify potential areas for improvement internally and drive continuous improvement.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence, with the ability to navigate complex situations empathetically and effectively.
  • Proven ability to building relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the organization, such as those in corporate communications, sustainability, procurement, IT, and other functions to help spread I&D values throughout the organization and to bring an I&D lens to their activities.
  • Strong data-driven decision-making skills and ability to use analytics to monitor and drive transformation

The Global Senior Culture Lead will collaborate with HR teams, including the CID community, Group Talent & Leadership team, Group Compensation & Benefits, Group HR Operations and more, as well as other departments, such as Group Communications, to drive decision-making related to culture programs and initiatives.
