This position will service our Southern California territory. Candidates must reside in Southern California.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

In this position a self-motivated individual will use independent judgment to analyze financial and risk data to assess risk quality and exposures. They will determine appropriate recommendations subject to our management and underwriting guidelines and will proactively build broker relationships by communicating our underwriting appetite and stimulating production. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the delivery, follow-up, and servicing requirements of all quotes on new and renewal accounts. This includes visiting brokers to review prospects and triage applications in the broker’s office.

Job Requirements

We are seeking candidates with a bachelor’s degree and generally 3 to 6 years of California workers compensation field/production underwriting experience. Must be proficient with underwriting concepts and their practical application. Familiarity with the Southern California broker plant a plus. Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills. Uses communication skills to build trusting relationships and enhance service reputation. Continuing education such as CIC or CPCU designation is a plus. A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are required.

Salary Range:

$95,000.00 -$125,000.00

The wage range for this job is based on role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, experience of the candidate, the role's scope, complexity, and other business and organizational needs. In addition to the base compensation, we offer a competitive Total Rewards package, which includes but is not limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and 401(k) plan for full-time and part-time employees who are eligible for benefits.
