Join our innovative and dynamic Predictive Analytics team within the Business Data & Analytics department! Our product managers collaborate with business unit claim and underwriting professionals, as well as departmental data engineering, data science, and actuarial professionals. Our product managers work to understand business challenges and opportunities and leverage data analytics to develop and implement actionable solutions. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses intellectual curiosity, and can lead and influence without direct authority. They excel in problem-solving and communication skills, thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates activities of Project/Product Team and act as Team Lead/Business Unit Liaison.
  • Assists with developing business understanding. (including organizational structure, knowledge of Business Unit goals & objectives, financials, products, coverages, systems and processes)
  • Participates in discussions with Business Units to develop requirements and clarify customer expectations.
  • Provides business leadership and subject matter expertise in defining requirements and communicating to technical teams.
  • Develops Project Plan and documents important project information.
  • Develops and manages schedules to ensure timely deliveries of products.
  • Monitors and summarizes project status.
  • Develops customer relationships and ensures frequent and effective communication between all project team members including stakeholders, key resources, and senior management.
  • Customer centric mindset.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Interact with other Great American shared service divisions such as IT, PDC, Legal, and Corporate Claims.
  • Assists Team with developing implementation plan, testing and training.
  • Facilitates post-project assessment/lessons learned & develops methods to improve customer service and satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Generally, 2-5+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with Property and Casualty Insurance, Underwriting, Claims, or related areas is highly desirable
  • Prior product/project management experience is preferred but not required
  • Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
