Provides account underwriting, presentation, sales and revenue growth for assigned clients. Evaluates, quotes, accepts or declines risk within established binding authority. Prepares quotations/proposals on new business. Reviews, analyzes and quotes exception renewals on a monthly basis to ensure proper pricing, coverage and compliance with HSB Underwriting policy and standards (includes in term changes). Adheres to strict follow up procedures on quoted business. Acts as a training mentor for team members and will work to resolve communication issues between team mates, Underwriting Center (UC)/Business Development Center, UC/Operations, Valley Forge (VF), and UC/Engineering. Handles customers with most complex risks. Performs client and customer visits with Client Manager. Travel at least 2 times per year outside of territory visiting 6-10 customers each time.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Risk Management or Finance or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years experience preferably on and Underwriting team
  • P&C, Mechanical or Facilities Engineering experience is a plus
