This role will be based in our Meridian, ID office. We offer a hybrid work schedule with 4 days in the office; and 1 day remote where it makes sense to do so.

Responsibilities

As an Auto Claims Representative, you will investigate and resolve non-injury commercial vehicle and property damage claims in a prompt manner. You'll determine coverage, reserves, liability and damages and reserves. This role negotiates settlement or resolution of claims. We'll trust you to provides internal and external customers with prompt, courteous, accurate service.

We'll count on you to:

  • Examine policies, contracts and claim forms to determine coverage. Investigate loss, evaluates exposures, establish accurate reserves and negotiate settlement on high-frequency, low-severity claims. Accurate payment issuance within established authority level. Re-evaluate exposures and reserves during life of the claim.
  • Provide customer service and assistance through duties relating to incoming/outgoing correspondence and communications.
  • Answer general calls for the claim department and assists caller or directs caller to appropriate claims staff.
  • Resolve insured, broker and claimant inquiries with exceptional customer service.
  • Correctly enter claim data into claim systems for documentation purposes.
  • Collaborate with other departments on claim files in subrogation, special investigation and salvage recovery.
  • Obtain required state adjuster licensing.
  • Training opportunities for claim handling including but not limited to general liability, bodily injury, property and litigated claims in order to prepare for further advancement and responsibility.
  • Provide back up of other claims department duties.
  • Handle special projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

What you need to have:

  • Two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced decision-oriented environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Meeting all established deadlines
  • Communicate with a high level of professionalism with internal and external customers
  • Ability to negotiate
