The opportunity:
In the role of Trading Underwriter, you will be required to utilise your technical knowledge and analytical skills to constantly drive and support improvements to our regional and national portfolio. Reporting to the Regional Underwriting Leader, this will involve working with the local underwriting & sales function to deliver our strategic objectives and delivering for our customers and internal stakeholders.

What will you be doing?
As a member of the team, part of your role will be providing technical property and casualty underwriting support to the wider team and supporting their development. You will also have accountability and ownership for driving, analysing, and delivering a strong underwriting result across our portfolio including key customer contacts.
The successful candidate will need to display a positive, enthusiastic, can do attitude and an inquisitive nature.
What are we looking for?
You will have established, strong Property and Casualty combined underwriting experience with a track record of delivery for customers of all sizes and experience of managing complex risk. Ideally, you will already be based in the South area so you can draw on your experience and knowledge of the market. We’re looking for someone who is happy to challenge processes and decisions using your attention to detail and someone looking to develop and broaden their knowledge. Organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines is also key.
