The opportunity:

We are looking for a Real Estate underwriter to join our Real Estate team. Working within our Real Estate Underwriting team, you will join a team of experienced underwriters that will be able to support you. This is a great opportunity for someone that is looking to progress in one of the world’s largest insurance companies.

You will have the opportunity to work directly with some of long serving, major customers so it is important that you have a focus on providing excellent customer service.

What will you be doing?

• Deliver against underwriting & financial measures as outlined in the plan.
• Demonstrate market visibility & underwriting expertise.
• Develop, maintain & collaborate with Line of Business representatives on referrals and other business-related needs, as appropriate.
• Qualify accounts to meet with the organisation's appetite, consistent with sound business opportunity.
• Accurately select, assess and price risk in line with underwriting mentorship.
• Make clear recommendations for market pricing, backed up by strong rationale and confident decision-making.
• Maintain an external presence by regularly visiting brokers and customers to gain a comprehensive understanding of their risk and insurance needs.
• Serve as a key Zurich contact for our customers.

• Ideally you will have some previous Real Estate/Property underwriting experience.
