A role within our DA Centre of Excellence could be the one for you! We like to provide innovative, creative propositions to suit our customer’s needs and we pride ourselves on going above and beyond. Why? Simply put, we want to exceed all expectations by delivering a high-quality service that sets us apart from our competitors.

Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

Well, you can expect no two days to be the same, you’ll be working with your team and reporting into a Business Manager as well as interacting with key stakeholders, brokers, and intermediaries daily.

As an Underwriting Lead, we need you to manage and oversight an allocated panel of DA’s as well as BAU activities. We need you to provide a standout service experience for customers and stakeholders and be responsible for delivering quality and timely solutions for them. This means taking ownership of own workload and supporting colleagues to deliver our collective workload - it’s all about being a team player!

As a senior member of the team a part of your role will be coaching and mentoring the junior members of the team and supporting them to develop. You will also have accountability and ownership for driving, analysing, and delivering a strong underwriting result across our portfolio.

If you spot ways, we can improve things or do them differently, we’d love you to tell us, that’s how we can boost effectiveness and efficiency of our processes.

So what are we looking for?

  • You will have well established Property and Casualty Underwriting experience.
  • You will have Delegated Authority experience.
  • Experience in Construction, Motor, or other lines of business would be beneficial but not essential.
